Cytisus scoparius. Slightly viscous liquid, brown colored and with a characteristic smell. Rich in polyphenols of Scotch broom with high antimicrobial and antioxidant activities. It contains both non-flavonoid polyphenols and flavonoids, highlighting among the latter the Flavones (such as crisine, orientin and apigenin) and some very interesting derivatives of quercetin. It also contains alkaloids.
Great natural alternative to other synthetic disinfectants widely used in different industrial sectors. It can be the basis of formulations with bactericidal and/or bacteriostatic activity for the treatment of infections of microbial origin in different commercial products.
