A golden-brown liquid rich in polyphenols of natural origin obtained from white grape marc. Its diverse composition, with an abundance of flavanols (catechins), flavonols (quercetins), procyanidins and phenolic acids, gives it a high antimicrobial activity and remarkable antioxidant properties.
Currently, zoosanitary grape extract is used in formulations for disinfectant products in industrial livestock production such as post-milking sealants and washing gels and foams, among others. The extract presents proved activity against bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus uberis, which cause illneses like mastitis. It is a highly effective natural alternative to iodine-based compounds, acids and/or peroxides. It does not only achieve a high degree of hygiene, but it also avoids irritation at the application site. Formulation with 3-10% extract is recommended.
