i-Grape produces bioactive natural extracts obtained with patented technology from plant origin wastes. These extracts have antioxidant, antibacterial and antifungal properties which are relevant for the pharmaceutical, dermo-cosmetics, veterinary, phytosanitary, zoosanitary and food industries.
i-Grape’s research, development and innovation activities are related to the company’s vision of being a benchmark in the generation of ingredients for food, pharmaceutical and veterinary use, using natural raw material sources such as by-products from agro-industrial activities, through the use of sustainable and environmentally responsible production processes.
Specifically, the company will advance in the development and industrial validation of the research carried out by the R&D Department, in collaboration with the research group LIDSA (Laboratory for Research and Development of Analytical Solutions) of the USC in bioactive substances that have a greater market potential due to their novelty, commercial value and strong demand.
Thus, the R&D department is actively connected with the needs raised by customers, with the aim of responding in a direct, agile and efficient way to the new market demands in bioactive ingredients of natural origin.

Eureka Innowwide is a programme funded by the European Union as part of the European Partnership on Innovative SMEs. Selected European SMEs are financed with €60 000 for a six-month market viability study in an international market. This first call funded 50 projects, with up to 25 of those involving counterparts in Africa and the other 25 for North and South America, the Middle East or Asia-Pacific. I-Grape’s competitive proposal for expansion in the Mexican market managed to be among the 25 selected.
