i-Grape produces bioactive natural extracts obtained with patented technology from plant origin wastes. These extracts have antioxidant, antibacterial and antifungal properties which are relevant for the pharmaceutical, dermo-cosmetics, veterinary, phytosanitary, zoosanitary and food industries.


i-Grape’s research, development and innovation activities are related to the company’s vision of being a benchmark in the generation of ingredients for food, pharmaceutical and veterinary use, using natural raw material sources such as by-products from agro-industrial activities, through the use of sustainable and environmentally responsible production processes.
Specifically, the company will advance in the development and industrial validation of the research carried out by the R&D Department, in collaboration with the USC_LIDSA research group (Laboratory for Research and Development of Analytical Solutions) in the bioactive substances that have the greatest market potential due to their novelty, commercial value and strong demand.
The R+D department will be actively connected with the needs of our customers, with the aim of answering in a direct, agile and efficient way to the new market demands in bioactive ingredients of natural origin.

Participation in the Bioincubatech high-tech incubator.

Individual project presented by i-Grape to the H2020 EIC SME Instrument phase call on the 2nd October 2020 proposing the development of the extracts obtained by i-Grape for diferentes uses such as veterinary medicine, food additives and biopesticide. This project was awarded the "Seal of Excellence" of the European Commission.

i-Grape collaborates with research groups of the Universities of León and
Salamanca in three different projects, in the study of the extract in the treatment of heart failure and in vitro tests for the conservation of semen.
